Tech Tip Tuesday – Windows Telnet Vulnerability

We normally don't cover “Patch Tuesday” but when a security flaw for an insecure protocol is identified, we make exceptions. It is worth noting that telnet is installed on Server 2003 but not enabled and is not installed by default on Windows Vista and beyond. Who is this patch for and why are they using a clear text protocol? (in Seinfeld voice)

AppArmor has been running silently on Ubuntu since 7.10. It’s enforces Mandatory Access Control (MAC) by restricting the access a process can take. It’s a good way to ensure your applications are behaving.
