Tech Tip Tuesday - $10 Million in Cisco Global Cybersecurity Scholarship! (sort of)
Cisco is offering $10M is scholarships towards Cisco training. The Global Cybersecurity Scholarship program “will offer training, mentoring, and certification designed to hone the skills needed in the security operations center (SOC) analyst job role”. Tech Tip Tuesday –Facebook’s New Privacy Settings
Do you get weirded out when Facebook serves you ads for products you searched for on Amazon? Facebook keeps track of your “Ad Preferences” by keeping track of everything you like. This Wired article gives you information on how to see what you like (at least what Facebook thinks you’re into) and how to opt out if you choose.

Tech Tip Tuesday – Ransomeware Overview
A group of security researchers put together a Google Doc with 118 identified named Ransomeware types. They have file extensions, comments and links to decryptors, if they exist. The best way to stay safe from ransomeware is to perform frequent backups (offsite if possible). The next best thing is to NOT open files from unsolicited senders.
